Voting Member

Any person who holds an appointed position as the chief law enforcement officer of a state, county, municipal, tribal, college, or university entity in Arizona which has the authority to enforce the laws of the state of Arizona and the government entity of which it is a part, provided such person is certified by AZPOST as having peace officer authority. Voting membership may be granted to an Active Member upon petitioning the Board for voting rights. There will be only one Voting Member per agency. Voting Members shall be entitled to hold office and serve on committees within the Association.

 Corporate Member

Corporate Members represent commercial enterprises that provide products or services to the law enforcement community specifically, or to the criminal justice system generally. The purpose of this class of membership is to provide the corporate/business community the opportunity to support the goals and objectives of the Association. Corporate Members will be listed in the annual membership directory. Corporate Members may attend general membership meeting, but will not be eligible to vote, hold elected office, or serve on committees.

Active Members

Any supervisory member of an agency whose chief law enforcement officer is eligible for voting membership in the Association, and any supervisory member employed by a private or public Organization or Association related to Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice fields may be granted Active membership. Active Members shall not vote except by proxy and shall not hold elected office in the Association but may serve on committees and fulfill special assignments at the discretion of the Executive Board.

Retired Members

Voting members of the Association, in good standing, who retire will be eligible for Retired membership. Retired Members may not be currently employed by a federal, state or local law enforcement agency. Retired Members shall not vote or hold office within the Association, but may serve on committees and fulfill special assignments at the discretion of the Executive Board. (Retired Members must send in renewal to stay on the mailing list)
